Notice that it is PPC Keyword Research, for those of you that found this page using that key word phrase I consider you a valuable niche; because guess what I do: KEYWORD RESEARCH!

There were 390 searches in the USA last month for that KEYWORD phrase so that is my niche for this month.

Looking a little further down the list I can see, "pay per click advertising" 22,000 searches and some would suggest I should focus instead on the bigger number.

In my situation that would be unrealistic, for a number of reasons. However, the biggest reason is I don't want that much business and couldn't handle it if I got it.

I want a few good clients - I'm a small business owner, semi retired and can relate to people my age that don't fully comprehend the changing technology; I get it and I know how to explain it to my peers.

For example

There are 390 people searching for the phrase ppc key word research, so realistically how many of those people will a) find my site, b) stay on my site, and c) ultimately give me their email address.

Keeping in mind I already know 390 people are searching, and the technology allows me to track which words people use to find my site so my ability to track is 100 accurate.

Therefore I'm going to spent $100 on a Google Adwords campaign, and see how many of you will actually give me your email address for my Preliminary Analysis for Increasing net profits!

So lets say I get one - that way I know that it cost me 100 per email address; but let's say I get 20 my cost is dramatically reduced. I think I will get a good response, but even if I don't at least I know my investment was only one hundred dollars!

And that is what I recommend to all my clients - start with ONE keyword niche to learn how the process works then you can expand to other key word niche's after you have some actionable data, and DON'T give up because it didn't work right away;

In most cases if (and when) it doesn't work it's a combination of a lot of things and not just one thing but you need to start somewhere and key word research is a start but monitoring the results goes hand in hand
